THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE QUOTE.JPG

Karena

My journey with yoga started in my mid 20’s as a fun and easy asana practice. I had no idea at that time what yoga was really about until 2003 when I started TT in Little Rock, AR.

Suddenly, I realized that what I knew as yoga was just a tiny part of it. Holly and Matthew Krepps of Barefoot Studio (currently Circle Yoga Shala), where my teachers during this time, as I fell in love with the depth and transformational promise of the practice.

The journey was challenging and profound. I dove into my fears, into my heart and became very curious about my purpose and life itself. Yoga gave me the gift of connection to my breath and my encounter with Presence.

At first, I took the practice and teachings with a very serious approach. Over time my perspective has changed, and I’ve realized the importance of bringing into the practice certain qualities that offer a deeper and richer experience. I’ve learned to be more subtle and compassionate with myself and the practice itself. As a result, I feel lighter and joyful as my practice and life unfolds. There is an infinite amount of wisdom in this path…I am amazed at the depth and beauty of it all. It is with great JOY that I share this practice and my experience with my students.
